How to check spelling in MS Word
The article is devoted to the burning issue of reducing efforts in writing literate texts. I think I would not be mistaken if I said that almost 98% of writers use MS Word as the main editor of their texts. And I am sure that it will not be erroneous to say that only 10-20% of users were engaged in configuring spell checking parameters in this editor.
And this is a very important point that gives you confidence that your editor is working correctly with errors and correctly identifies them. Let's figure this out together. Everything described below is based on MS Word 2007.
But in the editors of other versions, these settings are made similarly and should not cause any difficulties.
Taking the first step:
In the upper left corner of the program, click on the icon with the MS Word symbol. A selection panel will open for us, in which a rectangle with the inscription "Word Parameters" is modestly hidden at the very bottom.
Clicking on this button takes us to the MS Word settings selection menu.
By selecting the Spelling option", there are more buttons in the window offering to go to the following settings. But for now, let's stay in this settings panel and analyze them in more detail.
Autocorrect Options:
We enter and see what settings are hidden behind this button.
Thanks to these settings, MS Word can automatically enter the necessary characters and correct typical typos in words. So, if we want to get a copyright badge;(c)", then you need to enter the letter "c" in parentheses in the English layout. This list can be adjusted by adding new words/errors or removing unnecessary ones.
In addition to this, there are 4 more settings tabs on the panel:
Autocorrect Mathematical Symbols Autoformat when entering Autoformat Smart Tags
You can decide on them yourself. And we'll see what was originally included in the exceptions and is not subject to autocorrect and autoformatting.
This list is worth reviewing carefully and making the necessary adjustments. For example, there is no "UAH" in the list. "(the monetary unit of Ukraine). For some, this may be relevant.
We have mostly figured out the autocorrect parameters. Now go back to the main spelling settings panel and look at the last checkbox above the "Auxiliary dictionaries" button.
If there is a mark here, then it must be removed. Otherwise, the program will lose the ability to use auxiliary dictionaries when checking spelling. Leave all other settings in this block unchanged. Bahisbey Resmi Sayfa <br>
